Beware of Fake PTF Websites: Protect Yourself from Scams

Recently, many fraudulent websites impersonating the PTF brand have appeared, created by scammers to deceive customers into applying for loans. These scammers then proceed to appropriate customers' money. Let’s go over the ways to help customers recognize fake websites and avoid them.

1. Identifying through the website link:

  • Misspelled domain names, missing or adding a few characters compared to the correct brand name. Example: https://ptf247.site/, https://tienichptf.com
  • International domain names with low reliability. Example: https://ptfvn.net, https://ptf247.top
  • Domain query information unrelated to the content of the link and the website itself. Example: https://tienich5555.net, https://tienich6666.net

2. Paying attention to the website interface and content:

  • Requesting personal information (full name, citizen ID information, bank account number).
  • Fraudsters will imitate the official website; however, the quality of the logo, images, and colors will be blurred and slightly different from the official website.
  • Some fake websites are only compatible with mobile browsers. When customers access them via a computer, laptop, or tablet, an error message such as “404 – Device Not Supported” will appear.

From these fake websites, scammers will interfere with the system and notify customers that they have provided incorrect personal information, such as an incorrect citizen ID number or disbursement account number. Customers will then be required/threatened to transfer a sum of money to the scammer’s account in order to resolve the issue and process the loan. In the end, customers not only lose the money transferred to the scammer but also do not receive the loan amount they need.

To avoid losing money to scams, customers should stay vigilant and take note of the following:

  • PTF never requires customers to transfer money to get a loan under any circumstances.
  • Do not provide any personal information unless the authenticity of the website has been verified.
  • When needing a loan or using financial products, always contact PTF directly for consultation.
